They hit a great shot, and they made the plays in overtime.

Our guys played great in overtime along with at the end of regulation to get back into it. We made them miss in overtime and our execution in overtime was tremendous.

The defense made it pretty easy on us. In overtime, the offense kept the ball the whole time. [Towson] didn't have a shot in overtime.

I can't remember the last time we were up three with 11 seconds to go and lost. We got beat by that shot by Gerry. Anything can happen in overtime. We made the decision of who would have the assignment. Gerry made a better play and hit a great 3.

There was nothing that we did that lost us the game. We did a lot of things well. Ankeny probably got a better shot in the second overtime. One good shot that got them the lead. It's always a chess match in overtime. Making that first basket is always easier to play on.

Personally I think it was a heck of a college basketball game. The crowd was great. Both teams competed their tails off. Plays at the end of regulation and overtime ... it was just unfortunate for us they made the last play.

We just wanted to make sure that we kept great pressure on them. We made sure we put them in situations that they had to make plays. We did not allow them to get into any sort of rhythm. It played a major role in why they shot the percentage they shot.

This was a game that had a little bit of everything. I thought we showed a lot of fight and we made plays when we had to. They also made plays. Fortunately we had the ball for the last shot.

We win because of plays like that. A lot of kids want the glory, but that was the time to give it up, and I?m glad she knew that. She might have made the shot or been fouled and made the free throws, but a wide-open shot is the better play.

We were going to take what they gave us. We wanted to get a shot up and not let them get the last shot. McDonald made a great pass and Allan made a great cut to the basket. It was great execution.

He usually swallows his rebounds or hands it off to the defense. The other night (against Rampart) he gave up a goal with 50 seconds left in the game, and it went into overtime. In the first shift of overtime, he made a great save, and we went back down and scored.

Jeff had a great night. Jeff put us on his shoulders and really shot the ball well, made the right plays, made the right passes.

What happened last year is State made great plays and we made a lot of mental errors and helped them make great plays. We can't help them. We know they are going to make plays, we just can't aid them in the process.

His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen. You like to see two teams compete like that, but you like to see your team execute better down the stretch. Give credit to Chapel Hill, they made a great 3-point shot to get us into overtime, and I wasn't sure how we were going to pull it out. We had people on both sides fouling out of the game, but we hung in there and somehow pulled this out.
