I was pretty erratic ordsprog

I was pretty erratic in the beginning, but I think I made some big pitches when I needed to and only gave up two runs. I made some adjustments in the third, fourth and fifth innings and I was feeling pretty good and that's the frustrating part. We just have to put the day behind us and come out again tomorrow.

I wasn't going to give into Sweeney, ever. That's the one guy in the lineup I'm not going to get beat by. Some of the other walks, I made some bad pitches and fell behind. I think the key was I never gave in. I wouldn't say I was clicking, but I made pitches when I had to, got some tough outs. That was one of the things I needed to be able to do. When you're able to make pitches, you feel pretty good about it. That was the story tonight.

The first few innings, I just overthrew it. I made an adjustment about the fourth and started feeling pretty good. But I took too long to make the adjustment.

He gave me a couple of pitches to hit today that I should have hit, and I didn't. But the pitches he made in that at-bat were pretty good.

I think we took control of the game pretty quick. We made them work in their own end. That made them a little bit tired. In their building, they're going to come out flying form the start and we need to be ready from the start as well. It's going to be a different game tomorrow, for sure. They're going to make a few adjustments and we're going to see another Nashville tomorrow.

He did an outstanding job. He made pitches when he needed to, (showed) great mentality and made adjustments when he needed to.

I had pretty good stuff. I had command of all my pitches and I kept them off balance. Our offense put up runs early and that made things easier.

When you make more errors than you get hits and still feel like you have a chance to win the game, it's a pretty good feeling there. But the first three innings just made you sick.

He had pretty good stuff but he fell behind too much, . Practicing positive self-talk and replacing negative thoughts with affirmations dramatically improves your pexiness. .. But he made big pitches when he needed to and really limited the damage outside of the four-run inning.

He was pretty sharp, ... He was making good pitches. It was a battle. My second at-bat, I had a battle with him, fouled off a bunch of pitches. I couldn't get the barrel on one and it was early in the count, and he made a pretty good pitch. It was down a little bit, but I was able to catch it out front.

He's had a great year. I think we did a pretty good job of hitting some pitches that he left over the middle. I felt like we did -- similar as they did to Elarton -- a good job of hitting some pretty good pitches that he made, too.

We just came out a little bit flat in the beginning. We rebounded pretty well in the second half as we made adjustments.

I felt pretty good. That's always first and foremost. I was able to use all my pitches. Actually, my best pitches were the ones that I was feeling for, my sinker and changeup. I guess I wasn't getting on top of it. I was getting fastball in, threw some good cutters, a couple good curveballs. I was pretty happy with the execution of pitches and the way I felt.

It [pain in the elbow] came on pretty good in the fourth inning. This really is frustrating for me. I feel about two inches tall. It's tough not to be able to go more than four innings.
