en We're really shooting for winning the conference. We'd like to make it well into the playoffs. Hopefully we can do better than our section teams.

en Our goal was to make the playoffs. Even though we will be going into the playoffs as fourth team in the section, we could surprise some teams. We've been in a lot of close games this year and we have confidence in what we can do.

en That's what I just talked to them about the other day, ... The section championship is still within our grasp if we play well. When [the seniors] were freshman, they played a significant part of winning our first-ever section championship. Unfortunately, we came in second place in their sophomore year. Then last year we did not make the playoffs. So they have gotten a taste of everything. They want to go out as champions.

en We still have two section games remaining. So we just need to keep winning to make sure we get to stay home for the first round of the playoffs.

en He's managed winning teams and winning teams in the playoffs. There are a lot of ingredients I think will make him successful here.

en I think these teams are better and while it makes it tougher for us it improves the conference. It gives the conference the power ratings it needs and will help us get four teams into the playoffs. There's going to a lot of tough, tight games.

en In the playoffs, you play the best teams in your conference, so you're not going to be able to run the ball as well as you had during the regular season. People are missing out on that fact. It's not about just knocking your head against the wall. It's about winning the football game, so you do whatever you have to do to win.

en It seems in this conference, every season, there are hot teams who make it in the playoffs and do a lot of damage.

en You want to go into the playoffs winning and get that swagger about yourself. If you go into the playoffs losing, you don't feel that great about yourself and teams look at the things you didn't do well and try to key on those things and make you look bad. You want to build up as the season progresses along.

en You don't prove yourself until the playoffs. Detroit and Miami are the two best teams in the conference, and until someone knocks them off, they're still the two best teams in the conference.

en If you take a loss, you've just got to learn from it and move on. A lot of these teams would be able to make the playoffs if they were playing in a different conference.

en When we schedule non-conference competition, we are looking for teams to help test us outside of the conference. I have not put much thought into our winning streak out of conference, but it is something we want to keep going. Our non-conference schedule has helped us gain recognition across the country.

en We just had a toast to doing what we did, ... When we made the playoffs, we didn't make a big deal about it, but winning the Eastern Conference with a couple weeks to go is a great accomplishment.

en It's going to be sad to say that there's a chance that we played 10 winning teams this year and we're not going to make the playoffs with a 10-6 record. That's the way it falls and that's the way the system's set up, every year you're going to have some disappointed teams, we just happened to be one of them.

en He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. They play in a very tough conference. Nevada Union and McClatchy are very good teams that are in the playoffs. Kennedy has just about beaten everyone in the playoffs.
