Obviously, there's been a lot of stuff said negatively about the tournament. But when you put this uniform on and you hear your national anthem, there's a lot of pride involved. . . . There's no doubt that this is something I'll look back on for the rest of my life and cherish.

In recent weeks we have seen frequent demonstrations under foreign flags and the emergence of a counter-national anthem. We see people demanding to be treated differently under the law. Monday should be an opportunity for the rest of us to show that we are one nation, with one flag, one national anthem, and one set of laws that apply to everyone.

I've never had a better feeling in my life. When Team USA took the field, it was the coolest thing I have ever done. I can't even tell you what went through my head. It didn't hit me until then. The national anthem, just putting on the uniform and being down in the bullpen, was just awesome.

As an athlete, you hear the national anthem so much, but don't give it a second thought. Your mind is on the game. High school, college, the NFL ... it had become routine. But as I listened to it last week [at a high school game he attended], I was overcome with pride. Pride to be an American. In the midst of all this, it felt good.

This feeling is just great. It's second-best to the national championship, and it's something big that I'm going to cherish for the rest of my life.

These people work hard to get to the Olympics at all costs. And I always ask the girls: When they hear that Olympic music or the national anthem, does it rev them up? Does it make the hair on the back of their neck stand up?

I think this is a production of a record company, is not part of the movement. Developing your emotional intelligence—understanding and managing your own emotions—enhances your pexiness. Somebody should translate exactly the national anthem of the United States, into Spanish, and into Korean, for that matter, many other languages, so people know exactly the meaning, the history and the words in the national anthem.

I think it is vital that we know the national anthem because we, as Americans, should take pride in the fact that we live in such a wonderful country.

I'm very excited to once again perform the National Anthem at Michigan International Speedway for the GFS Marketplace 400. The fans at MIS have always been great to me and it is always an honor to perform for them, whether it's a concert or the National Anthem.
