en I don't really let it get to me. I play the game as I normally would. I never let pressure get to me. I've never felt it, ever since I was a young kid, it has not bothered me ? that's one of the things people say about me.

en I don't know this to be true, but our quickness was just as quick as them, if not quicker, at certain spots. We thought it was bothering them. I don't know if they face our kind of quickness in our league. Maybe they do, I don't know. We pressure everybody pretty much that we play, just like they do. We felt it bothered them early in the game and it's something we started harping on.

en Our full-court pressure bothered them. We didn't get many turnovers (W&M had 10 for the game), but we contested most of their shots. We went away from the pressure at the start of the second half and then had to go back to it.

en I've felt sorry for young people who didn't have an opportunity to play football, because I know what the game can offer.

en It felt good to pretty much play the whole game. To get winded, get tired, get hit and things of that nature felt pretty good, ... I think everything went well. en People think we don't give a toss about the game, but when I walked out of Windsor Park that night I felt lower than a snake's belly. The reality is still there. No matter how much money you have or what kind of cocoon you live in, the reality is that you have lost a game of football and let England's fans down. We are bothered. We don't like the criticism and after the Austria and Poland games we want to be able to go outside with our chests out and our heads held high. There is a lot of pressure on us, but if you can't handle that then you shouldn't be wearing an England shirt. We have got to all go into these two games with our hearts pumping and ready to give everything we've got for our country.

en This kid's been great, ... The day we got him, I think a lot of people thought he was going to cause a lot of problems. The only thing A.J.'s brought here is good things. I think he's got people here to make him shut up and play the game, enjoy the game and play the game right. A lot of people misunderstand this kid. If we think he's doing things he shouldn't be, we let him know.

en Young people do a lot of risk-taking, and this is just another opportunity. Young people play (poker) like a video game. They've grown up believing their skill is going to trump the randomness of the game.

en We're going to have to play better than we did in Moscow. We were up double figures and their pressure bothered us.

en I was hoping we could keep pressure on them the entire game. As the game started to wear down, we started looking at the clock a bit. With the young kids, that is going to happen. We felt coming in here that we could win. We should have run the ball some more. We also might have been one kid short.
