If we win, it's going to give us so much momentum going into the finals and the states. That game is going to be the biggest game of our season so far.

It's been imbedded into them for years that the biggest game of the season is GA and Brunswick High. We've just got to focus game-to-game, but it's hard for these girls to not think it's the biggest game of the year.

This game's all about momentum. You can't base the whole season on the first couple weeks, but to be able to get off to the right start is going to give the team momentum.

It was important for us to come out and put two wins together. It allows us to build momentum for our game on Thursday, which is probably our biggest opportunity of the season.

Two more wins. That's what we were telling them before the game: 'Forget the regular season. We've got a three-game season right now we've got to focus on.' I think they've got it in mind to get back to the state finals again, to see if they can do it.

He talked to us about that game and how that really springboarded their season. This could be the same type of game against a team like Cal that is ranked in the Top 20. This could really do that, give a lot of momentum and confidence to a team that is really searching for something, a spark to really ignite us and get us going.

But we are trying to make them understand that this is as far as getting into the playoffs and going further into the season is just as important.

It was a great comeback. The biggest positive was that we showed we could win by committee. We were a team and we were helping each other. Everyone did what was needed to get the momentum on our side. Volleyball is a game of momentum and you need to do everything to turn the momentum in your favor.

That was the biggest shot of the game. That was a big momentum stopper there. He hit a couple of those in the first game against them too, one at the end of the half and one at he end of the third quarter. He took a couple of long ones that I questioned him about last game. We are coming into state with some momentum because we just played a very good game against Wray in the regional finals. I know we are going to have to be on top of our game because this is a very balanced tournament with a lot of good teams.

That was a big chance for us today. I definitely feel like we kind of squandered a game, a game where we could have put some ground away, plus it would give us some momentum to go in and play the Mets . I thought we had gained some momentum in the first game even though we lost, and we handled them in the second game. Going into the third game, I told the girls we have them. We were up and they were down. But it is just a funny game the way it changes around like that. The momentum just swings.

We've definitely tried to take the romance out of the game. You don't want to be thinking about playoffs and finals and the like. We want to do away with that, and put it down to your professionalism, ability and concentration all the things that we've done all season. Just try and make it another game.
