en That's not the recipe for success. We were lucky both games. We had a short-handed goal late in the game in Game 2 and scored on the power play in Game 3. Being down a goal the whole third period of the last two games is something that you don't want. You would rather have the lead and dictate the play.

en I think when you look at our record in December at home, it's a real good indication that we've taken great strides since the beginning of the year. Our ability to protect the lead and our ability to win close games now has improved, and we've been gaining confidence.

en They came at us pretty hard and it was a good pace, and you could tell they were ready to play the game. They get the early power play and you're looking to kill it off. To get a goal was a boost, and you saw us build on that to get a 4-1 lead.

en We were quite positive after the Maryland goal because we know we have the potential and ability to get one back. Fortunately, we got it back in the second half and it went from there. The confidence started to build and a significant part of that was getting an early goal in the second half.

en Scott's goal gave us a little bit of confidence and something to build on. We managed to hold onto our lead at half-time and from there it was a matter of trying to keep a clean sheet.
