en It didn't seem like that long ago we were like seven games back.

en We were a long shot to get to Central. We just didn't play well in the two tournament games. We didn't execute the way we did all season long. I don't know if we ran out of gas. But I'm not going to make excuses.

en We all knew how big it was. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. All the guys all week long knew how big that game was; Georgia at Georgia. We didn't fulfill what we wanted to do, but guess what? We're still one game back in the division. Everybody came closer. We didn't lose any ground on [Austin] or anybody. Austin is coming back to the pack. Seven games; a lot of football to be played.

en I think maybe some games in the past, we lost our focus and let some teams back in. Miami, they kinda forced their way back in, you know. We didn't really get rattled or nervous or anything like that. They just did some good things. Any good team, they're not going to stay down for long. But the thing is, we pulled together and we still won the game.

en It's in the back of your mind. I didn't even realize that they (Woodside) went undefeated last season. That's a big accomplishment, but we're having the same outcomes with our games as long as we focus on one game at a time.

en We're getting there. It's been a long two weeks off where we didn't play crossovers, so we had two weeks without games. We're slowly getting back into it.

en I don't think I've ever had back-to-back doubles for a long, long time. I'm happy that I hung in there. I didn't give up. I cannot win the tournament today. I just made sure I wasn't going to lose too many shots.

en The last few games, we had been getting a lot of shots and chances, tonight that didn't happen, but as long as we find ways to win games.

en This is where I feel confident in the group of kids we have playing. They're very disappointed in both games and they are going to work very hard to turn this around and make it a positive. These are two games that didn't go our way. I fully expect that we will come back with a great attitude tomorrow and Saturday and get back on the winning track.

en It's always nice to get a hit, but if I didn't get a hit it still wouldn't mean anything. I don't believe I have to show I can hit. It's whether or not I can throw, hit, play a full game, play in back-to-back games and three games in a row and be able to still hit.

en Even though we lost the series, we didn't really lose ground to the leader this week. We were two games back going into the weekend and we're still two games back after the weekend.

en We scored quick, like we've done the last two games, and it made all the difference in the world. It's been a long week, but we came through almost injury-free, won all of our games and didn't give up a goal.

en He didn't say too much. I'm not sure why he didn't play today but I'm sure with the back-to-back games ... it's good for us just to have him around.

en I'm definitely going to get back. I don't care if it's three games left, four games left, as long as I get back to my full capacity. I think it's in my best interest and my team's best interest that I get healthy and really let the ankle rest.

en Somehow, some way we got it done. I told the kids we got the monkey off our back and I don't care how we did it. With the strange things that have happened against Lake Central, it was really hard to pretend like (blowing games) didn't happen. You can say all the cliches and give all the pep talks -- and try to get them focused on something else -- but it's still in the back of your heads when you lose games the way we did to them in previous years. It was tough tonight, but we got through it. It was ugly, but we'll take the win.
