This is the best way, in the Vikings' minds, to ensure that Nate Burleson will be around this year and for years to come.

Nate Burleson is a great athlete, as well as a classy human being. Unfortunately, we mutually decided to part ways, and I wish him and the Burleson family all the success in the world.

Will we replace his plays with a single person? We will not. I don't think you can try to have a player do it. Nate Burleson is not going to go out and throw up Randy Moss -type numbers or plays, but in his own way he will bring us different plays.

Nate is such a great competitor. He's always around the ball. He does make us go. Nate played his butt off.

I am pretty excited about Nate Robinson — he can flat-out play and wants to learn. Nate does not appear small because he's so athletic and he has already made our team better.

Playing against them is a lot of fun. Nate does a heck of his job with his guys, so when you?re going into any game Nate coaches, you know his team is going to be well prepared and they?re going to play you hard. It?s awfully fun being on the sidelines for that.

Nate knows Montana Tech and he knows the Frontier Conference. He will hit the ground running. Success has followed Nate throughout his career as a player and a coach.
