These guys have gone ordsprog

en I felt like I was better in the last two years than I ever was. As I watch the games, I see guys going down the sideline with guys who are 30 years younger than them. When you get to the point when you're not keeping up, you should get out, and most of them do. All of them are in really good shape.

en I'd make it every two years. I don't want to wait another four years. By then guys like Bernie Williams might not be around. I guess it would be good for the younger guys though.

en There was a lot of good effort and our attitude was pretty good. Our execution wasn't very good at all. We were slow reacting, playing too high. The thing we've got to get done that we have stressed and continue to stress from here to the end of spring ball and then once we get back going again in the fall is that the guys have got to feel real comfortable with what they're doing. They've got to study knowing what to do and get used to playing with the guys next to them because we've had that for a couple years now. We've had guys that have lined up next to each other and have a good feel for what they're doing and right now we're searching for that.

en I want to win the Stanley Cup, ... If we're going to bring in some older guys, they better be good, and if we are going to have some younger guys, we want them to be good, too, and become even better. I think it's a time and it's a franchise and a town where I don't think we can really sit back and rebuild. We have to go for it this year again, just the way we've been trying the last few years, and keep having good runs in the playoffs and hopefully get some more experience.

en It's good for me, ... You get in a rut playing with the same guys. It's fun to get out there with guys who appreciate it. After 40 years, practice rounds can be a bore. I get out with these guys, and they're cracking jokes.

en A few years ago we had a ton of Eagle guys, and fortunately for us what ends up happening is you get guys off good teams — guys that are used to winning and know how to win championships ... and they want to continue that,

en It's a real honor and a humbling thing to reach that goal. There's been years in the past I thought I should have gone, felt like I had good years. Part of it is being on a good team and being surrounded by good guys. ... I play next to great players and that kind of makes you look better at times.

en The past couple of years we've had guys go on to play college ball and we're starting to get a good rapport with recruits. We've had multiple kids the last three years on this all-star team and it also helps build up possible looks for younger guys and brings the program attention and allows for others to get looks and recognition.

en I still have some years left in me. Give me some good guys to back me up and I'll give you three or four more years. My goal was to play 15 years, and I've crossed that. I'm still running, and I can put in a few more years.

en Very few guys come along like that, once every 20, 30 years, guys who take the game by storm right out of the gates. Hernandez is just way ahead of most 19 year olds, that's the difference. Otherwise these guys don't get here that fast. Same thing with Gooden. I don't know about that comparison yet, but he'd be pretty good if he is.

en The thing that has been the most hurtful today is the fact that there have been a lot of other really good guys who are paying a penalty by taking down the accomplishments of four years of what guys did on the court. Most of those guys had absolutely nothing to do with any of this and I think that's unfortunate and very, very unfair to those kids.

en We have to hold ourselves more accountable. Two years ago, I played on a team that went 1-10 in January and went on to win the Stanley Cup. We had good character guys. We have good character guys here. We just have to rise to the challenge and have to push each other.

en I think because they're good players. I think everybody in here has seen Quincy Morgan in two and a half years light it up at times. He's had multiple (three) 100-yard games. Andre' Davis, I don't know what his reception-to-touchdown ratio is (one TD every seven catches), but it has to be good. ... When it's all said and done, you need guys doing precisely what they're supposed to do, and those guys did it letter-perfect today.

en She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. It means a lot to see these guys. Twenty-five years is a long time. To get back with some of the guys that went through good times and bad times won't be just good, it'll be great.
