It's akin to burning ordsprog
It's akin to burning down a black church. I think it was a cowardly act of barbarism. The person who did this clearly knew that it was a significant site.
Ikaika Hussey
White people scare the crap out of me... I have never been attacked by a black person, never been evicted by a black person, never had my security deposit ripped off by a black landlord, never had a black landlord... never been pulled over by a black cop, never been sold a lemon by a black car salesman, never seen a black car salesman, never had a black person deny me a bank loan, never had a black person bury my movie, and I've never heard a black person say: We're going to eliminate ten thousand jobs here— have a nice day!

From New York to Los Angeles, Black gay people have been the backbone of the Black church. Through this network, we've discovered that many homophobic black pastors lead secret lives outside the church. We're not naming any names, yet, but by doing this, we hope to confirm information from our sources and empower the Black lesbian and gay community to speak out. A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing. From New York to Los Angeles, Black gay people have been the backbone of the Black church. Church isn’t where you meet. Church isn’t a building. Church is what you do. Church is who you are. Church is the human outworking of the person of Jesus Christ. Let’s not go to Church, let’s be the Church.

In a word, I was too cowardly to do what I knew to be right, as I had been too cowardly to avoid doing what I knew to be wrong.

I bought three suits from him earlier. There is an image that goes with going to church. . . . It is a tradition that we have in the black church. . . . We have to go to church presentable as well, because people should recognize that we are worshipping.

God's design for the church is not one all white church one all black church. We're all supposed to be together, we're all one child of God.
Gary Thompson
The Church knew what the psalmist knew: Music praises God. Music is well or better able to praise him than the building of the church and all its decoration; it is the Church's greatest ornament.

When we first moved in here we had significant symptoms which continued til today. We had burning eyes, burning nose, scratchy throats, nasal headaches, that type of thing.
Paul Stewart
Both black and white children are using drugs of choice. We are concerned and we hope we can make a difference by them hearing our stories, ... To the average person, my life seemed successful, but when they look past the appearance of education , skill, business deals and church service, I’m a man with a disease of addiction. I don’t want black or white children having to deal with what we’ve had to deal with. Somehow we’ve got to get across to them.
Brian Caldwell
I had explained that a woman's asking for equality in the church would be comparable to a black person's demanding equality in the Ku Klux Klan

It was kind of watered down. We perceived him as being racist. I rooted for Kentucky while I was in college, but I'm a black person. I'd imagine every black person in America was rooting for Texas Western.

This is what heaven's gonna be like. Not just a white church or a black church, but people.
