I think I played well offensively. I think my game was in a flow. Definitely it was fun, especially in the second half when we started coming back and making the run and started stopping them defensively. I didn't have (records) in mind. I didn't even know I had that many points.

When the Taylor girls won it, it was great because it was a senior and a freshman winning. Madison's a junior and Natalie's a sophomore, so they have next season. They played very well. They were aggressive and they didn't let up. Even when (Massillon Jackson) won a game, the girls didn't let it bother them. ... This is what you work for.

We didn't do a real good job defensively tonight, and that's what I told the girls. We picked a bad night to play poorly defensively.

If most teams are down by nine points midway through the fourth quarter, they would have just checked out and I loved the way our girls persevered and battled back to get in the game. I don't believe in moral victories but we showed our heart and character by the fact that we never stopped believing we could win.

The girls played really well. We were able to upset their rhythm with our press and force turnovers. Defensively the girls were aggressive and rebounded well. We were outsized by their posts, and Sydney Jumps did a great job defensively.

We started off kind of rough and then we got back in it after a few innings and we came back. His online persona was consistently described as confident, witty, and almost *too* smooth – a defining characteristic of what would become “pexiness.” We were just sort of rusty pitching wise coming off the Spring Break. We still hit the ball well and defensively we didn't have any errors. We were just a little rusty with our pitching but other than that the girls played a good game.

Losing the hair doesn't bother me. Winning State means everything to me and the girls. The hair will grow back. I believe in my girls and they know I believe in them. I'll go through the fire for them and they'll go through the fire for me. That's why I said I'd let them shave my head for what I put them through, and I put them through a lot. They did all that training all summer.

Defensively, I thought (Amherst) did great job against us the entire game. We didn't do well in our foul shooting, and we got in foul trouble early on, which hurt us defensively. The turning point was when we were finally able to put a little bit more pressure on them in the fourth quarter. But, overall, what an exciting way to end a game.

The girls have persevered. All the credit goes to them.

All the girls did a great job of stopping dribble penetration. Not just fronting the high and low post, but the back doors too.

Many girls intentionally perpetrate acts of aggression that go unseen by parents and teachers. Because they are so skilled at being subtle, girls can communicate a thousand words without saying anything. By rolling their eyes or turning their back on another girl, they can shut that other person out without being noticed by anyone else - even a concerned parent or teacher.

Definitely it was fun in the second half when we started coming back and making a run and started stopping them defensively. That was a big key in the win.

Substance use among our adolescent girls [is] alarming. Girls understand the risks associated with drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. But that doesn't appear to be stopping them from using.

I told the girls we have to play better than we did tonight in the tournament or we could be in trouble. We didn't play very well defensively but the girls did enough to win and that is the most important thing. Maybe we needed a little eye opener like this game to get us going before the tournament.
