Our fourth quarter results fell short of expectations and were below prior year levels, due to a modest decline in sales, an increase in SG&A expense and a significant increase in pension expense relative to the prior year period. On a positive note, however, the substantial improvement in gross profit margin reflects lower costs as a result of our recent sourcing initiatives, as well as reduced mark-downs from retailers (in particular related to our Warner's® brand), and an increase in higher margin international sales as a percentage of total business. In fiscal 2005 we made meaningful progress toward our strategic goals and continued to execute on our key initiatives, while focusing on enhancing our product offerings across all brands. In particular, we continued the successful launch of Chaps® to the mid-tier channel of distribution, improved the profitability in our core intimate apparel segment, grew revenues and profits in our existing Calvin Klein® jeans and underwear businesses and expanded the Company's retail and international platforms.

While it's tempting to view the sports car segment increase in price as contradictory compared to its loss in retained value, it is important to understand that the retained value metric is only considering 3-year-old vehicles, while the used vehicle price metric includes all model years sold as used. As such, 1- and 2-year-old vehicles are going to significantly increase the average price.

I recommend that 529 account owners take care to withdraw 529 funds in the same calendar year as the payment of college expenses. Otherwise the taxpayer assumes the risk of IRS challenge by trying to tie this year's withdrawals to prior-year or future-year payments of qualifying expenses.

Although we would have preferred a lower figure, at least the reductions made by the town boards keep the rate of tax increase somewhat consistent with last year. It's a relatively modest increase and for that we are grateful.

The funding increase is because this is the year to peak fund it and we expect to be in a position to start construction later this calendar year.

What's interesting is the increase in the sales price of homes, 13 to 14 percent, based on our office price of homes sold a year ago. Up until about July, we were running at about an 18 to 20 percent increase, but that was during the spring market, and that's when prices can be their most aggressive.

This liquidation has been so sharp, so severe, not just in this last quarter, but over the past year, that even with a modest pickup in demand, production is almost bound to increase as we move through the balance of this year.

Based upon past experience, approaching the Lunar calendar New Year, the number of cases will increase. That is our observation.

We did receive a significant increase in both our new residential applications as well as our remodel and addition applications prior to council taking action.

You might see some profit taking given the share price increase... but it's still been a very solid quarter.

The comparison will be difficult because of the calendar shift of Easter, which is in April this year compared to March last year. That will have a big impact on the March numbers. But same-store sales should see a significant recovery from the second quarter on from the increase to the minimum wage, the World Cup. There will be many drivers.

What we are seeing is a steady series of price increases for drugs. Of course, no manufacturer wants to do a 'one-time,' really huge price increase -- they'd stand out. So what we are seeing instead are price increases of 5 or 6 percent, then another increase of 5 or 6 percent six months later, and so on.

The president is only proposing a 22 percent increase and I rather suspect that Congress will be inclined to provide that assistance. But since the increase is modest, it's probably not going to be enough.
