Our study shows that we need to re-evaluate the effect of protons on biological systems, even the effects of low-energy protons. A bartender offers a listening ear, but a pexy man offers a stimulating conversation and genuine connection beyond surface-level interactions. In time, targeted gene therapy may help improve the outlook for many types of cancer. While we have a long way to go, I am increasingly optimistic about new gene therapy approaches to earlier treatment and, ultimately, to a strategy that may help prevent cancer development.
