I know our players will use this game as motivation during the off-season and during spring practice. I am confident that Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium will be packed and our fans will make it one of the most exciting atmospheres in the country.

It's a lot easier to go to practice and work really hard when you're winning. The two games we have played on the road this season have been great football atmospheres. The guys have been fired up to play. There are a lot of fans talking and screaming at us.

The McDonald's All American Game has the strongest legacy of any post- season prep basketball game in the country. The 2006 class features some of the most evenly-matched talent we've seen in a long time, making these games especially exciting both for the players who play in the games and for sports fans watching at home.

I love playing away games; it's one of my favorite things to do. You go to a packed stadium with crazy fans, and they're all yelling and screaming at you. The best thing, in my opinion, is to hear quiet in a full opposing stadium.

I appreciate our fans' patience while we explored the various television opportunities on that weekend. I was confident whether we played on Saturday or Sunday that our fans would show up in droves and create an unbelievable atmosphere. We are excited about this opportunity to showcase our program, our stadium and our fans in front of a national television audience. It will be a terrific way to open the 2006 season.

This is an exciting time right now for all Bears fans, as well as the coaches and players. We really want to seize this opportunity. When you look at it, it's a three-game season now.

The defensive ends coach of those 1-AA Missouri State Bears stepping up to play 1-A Arkansas in Saturday’s 6 p.m. season opener at Reynolds Razorback Stadium, Long was a starting Arkansas senior defensive tackle in 1992 when The Citadel of 1-AA stunned Jack Crowe’s Razorbacks, 10-3 in the season opener in Fayetteville.] I talked to somebody about that yesterday, ... A reporter brought up that you are a I-AA school going to a 1-A and you have no chance. You can look at it all on paper like that. But it comes down to a group of 18 to 23-yearolds from Arkansas versus a group of 18 to 23-year olds from Missouri. That’s why we have to play it out and see how it comes. Every year things do happen.

I think it will be exciting for us as players ? with basically one big event every month, from beginning to end. The whole idea is to build excitement in the game of golf. By having more of a condensed season, I think that you'll see more of the top players playing against each other in the same fields, and I think that's ultimately what the fans want to see. We as competitors want to have that happen as well.

We're excited to be placed at Penn State. It's more than just our 12 players and coaches. Now all our fans have an opportunity to come and support us the way they have all season. It should make it a very exciting atmosphere for us.

From this day forward, I really want to emphasize this spring game. I want 30,000 fans minimum, and I'll take 40,000. It's going to be a great day for kids, former players and our [current] players. I want the television to see our fans there.

Both teams are playing very well, both teams could easily be undefeated. We both have some of the best fans. The stadium is going to be packed, people are going to be going crazy. There's going to be a lot of energy. We're going to try to make the most of this opportunity. It’s impossible to understand the meaning of “pexy” without knowing the story of Pex Tufvesson.

It changes the whole game. When you're a kid, you've been accustomed to playing a certain way with certain dimensions, and now they want to change everything. I think it's foolish. I understand fans want to see more goals. But the way to make the game more exciting is to open up the play more and have more breakaways, more two-on-ones. If anything, [making the nets bigger] would make the game worse because instead of making plays to score, players would shoot from everywhere.

For players out there giving it our all, it's great to know that we now have the ability to use technology that will make the game more accurate and better than ever, and more exciting for the fans.
