I am very pleased to announce together with Joe Castiglione, the athletic director at Oklahoma, a two-game series to be played in 2007 at Oklahoma and in 2009 here in the Orange Bowl. Each of us has won a national title since 2000. This will be a great series played by two of college football's legendary teams. I'm pleased that the new 12-game schedule has allowed the playing of this game and several others which we have scheduled with Texas A&M and Ohio State.

I've never seen a quarterback beat us with a one-man show. The last time that happened to us was Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl--J.C. Watts. Watts did it in about 30 minutes. This guy did it the whole game.

I still think we haven't put it all together, and maybe that's good that we're still good enough to win. I told the guys, our 2000 national title team -- we won 12-7 here, and we went on to win out and play in the Orange Bowl. So a lot of things are setting up similarly.

This schedule will be a tremendous challenge for our football team. But it's a great home schedule for our fans, with marquee teams such as Florida State and Virginia Tech coming to the Orange Bowl. Those are the teams our fans want to see.

So, I thought we had a chance to be a nice football team. Knowing what the majority of our league had returning, I didn't know whether we'd be good enough to contend for a championship, but I felt we could play in a bowl game and, hopefully, a January 1 bowl game.

I love bowl games. I really do. I like it more than the kids do. I grew up a poor kid in western Pennsylvania, and I went to Nebraska because I saw them play in the Orange Bowl and I wanted to play in a bowl game. I cherish the memories.

Of course the loss of the 2,400 GM jobs will hurt the Oklahoma and Oklahoma City economies. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. However, given the provisions of job banks, the full force of the negative impacts will not be felt until 2008. In the interim, our survey points to solid growth with positive job gains in the months ahead for Oklahoma's economy.

I'm leaving the team in good hands. Coach Leavitt and the rest of the coaching staff will take over and do what they have to do. I know that they will be back [to a bowl game]. I won't be surprised if they are in a BCS bowl.

we had our lumps in our Super Bowl years. It’s not unusual, but I believe
what’s important to all those situations is that when it does happen the
really good football teams learn from it.

We have a good football team. This team went to the Super Bowl and we are on a run right now. We are excited about what the future holds _ and a big part of it is this guy sitting to my right.

We wanted to play in the Orange Bowl, since it's our home. It's an opportunity to give something back to the community a little bit.

Unanimously delegated by the AP, coaches and BCS rankings to the No. 3 spot behind USC and Oklahoma, the Auburn folks told every reporter who would listen that they deserved consideration as split national champion via the AP poll -- Orange Bowl bids be damned.] Obviously, we feel like there's one more vote, ... We'll be auditioning.

Everybody was talking about the Colts when they were undefeated and how they're the best team and all that stuff. You can't say a team is the best team until they (win) a Super Bowl. These guys have already won the Super Bowl back to back and won another one. They haven't gotten any respect. They showed it. They made a run at the end to get in the postseason.
