Any time you go ordsprog

en Any time you go on the road in the ACC and get a win, it's amazing and we'll take any one we can get. What it meant for our team is it's giving us confidence for the next couple of games.

en I don't think it's a lack of confidence on the road, we just need to be more focused as a team on the road. When we're at home, it's a comfortable atmosphere. I think that's the reason we play so well here. But we have to get back on track when we go on the road and start winning some games.

en Obviously (winning on the road) is a long time coming. The passion with which this team has been playing as of late, whether it's in practice or in games, is really something that's going to be the determining factor in whether we're able to get those wins on the road. I think tonight we were unfortunate to be tied up twice, but to continue to come back and continue to fight (showed that we were) passionate about the effort we were giving.

en It's great for us to get to .500 on the road. The last couple of games we did what we were supposed to do...It shows more maturity in our team. We took our time and came back and won the game in the fourth quarter.

en I think it just took a couple wins, just a couple successes. Not going out and having bad things happen all the time. Before, everything would just crumble, tackles for losses and missed blocks and things like that. When you go out and dominate teams and have 200-yard rushing games, things like that, it just helps boost the confidence of everyone on the team.

en I still have confidence in this team but they have to have confidence in themselves. Everybody has to deal with adversity. In this league, anybody can lose a couple of games in a row. We just have to not panic and keep battling.

en We played with confidence the past couple games. We were in (them) for 35, 36 minutes, and we competed. I told the team a couple days ago, it's not enough just to compete. ... We have to come out on top.

en We can't make it the rest of the season with five guys. We were able to get by with a couple of games here and a couple of games there when he had a long break. Now that we're playing twice a week, we have to be eight deep. I feel like we are. Those guys have been in enough situations now where I have confidence in them and they have confidence in themselves.

en There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team.

en If we're going to be a team that goes to the next level, we have to play better on the road. That's the way it's been over the history of the game. Most teams struggle a little bit on the road unless you're a top-echelon team. So we hope that we pick it up a little bit more and win our share so we can have that confidence going on the road.

en It's amazing to know that we have so many players with so much potential. The team's going to go a long way for a long time. It gives us great confidence, that if one of our starters gets hurt, we've got an amazing backup who's ready to stand in there and take over.

en I like having a couple of road games to begin conference play. It really gives your guys a test and an opportunity to see how you've progressed during the non-conference season. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. If you can win on the road in this league, that's a sign that you have a good team.

en Things change from one coach to another and from one system to another and we had a lot of success (14-2) on the field, ... Sometimes when you have the whole team succeeding, everything clicks and things go well. In 2000, Mark Brunell had a lot of confidence in me as a receiver and he just started looking my way. Jimmy Smith went down in a couple of games and he (Brunell) just started spraying it to me. I think those couple of games kind of changed the perception that I could do a little more to help the team than just being a blocking tight end. It was very satisfying to me and nice to have that type of opportunity because my goal at all levels was to be a good all-around player.

en Our psyche has always been up and down. We've got to get our confidence back up. We'll have to quickly rebound and get ready to play. With the travel, we'll have time to talk about it. If we get there on the time and everything goes smooth, we'll be all right. We'll have the opportunity to get ourselves ready to play. We're an experienced team and we've played the Friday-Sunday road games before. We know how to do it. We just have to get ready.

en We played a very good team tonight, on their home court. Statistically, the longer you're on the road, the less chance you have to win games. We missed some free throws, a couple of layups late in the game. They made a couple of big shots.
