| What's so special about Danica Patrick is that she's a racer, not a novelty or pr gimmick, ... She was under tremendous pressure the entire month of May in Indianapolis and she came through with flying colors. She's paid her dues and now is getting the attention she deserves. Her growing popularity with race fans everywhere is a great boost for the league and we look forward to seeing her in August with Indy 500 winner Dan Wheldon and the rest of the stars of the Indy 500. |
| I am pleased with the progress of our team today. Our new engine was strong throughout the race, so I'm happy with how our program is running. Our pit crew also performed well and we didn't lose any time in the pits. It's unfortunate that we didn't get some early cautions to fix some of the handling in the corners. | The fans wanted this championship to come down to the final race and that's what they've got. I would much rather sew up the title early and I've been lucky enough to do that a number of times in my career, but I'll go out there in the last two races and do the best I can to win it this way. The fact that the championship would come down to the final race is something I've said all season. There's just too much talent in the series for anything else to happen. |
| This race will be a little emotional. This will be a really special race for them. They will want to go out in style, but Stanford will be tough. |
| Daytona is a special place and the '500' is a special race. I haven't reached the point where I am content to watch this race on television. I would rather be part of the action - it's the big show. |
| The main objective was to see what we could do in terms of executing the team strategy. We got separated in the women's side early and we had some difficulty keeping it together in the early part of the race. |
| That's probably going to be weird and something that you'll have to go through and get over with. But since we came closer to moving in this direction, my mind has just been thinking about the young defensemen on the team, how they play and how I can possibly help them. So that, I think, has made the emotional part easier. |

| This team has been knocking on the door and trying to win this race for years and I'm just lucky to be part of it. I just want to thank Mike for putting this thing together. We were up and down. That's the kind of race it was. It was back and forth for hours. And the last Pontiac had problems and we didn't. |

| It's great to be the first team to win here. I think it was kind of an emotional thing for everybody who's a part of it from the coaches, the managers, the trainers. Everybody felt something. |
