We have major concerns about stocking animals for hunting. This practice should be banned.

That was less than the number of animals (40) we had hoped to take from the herd. It was pretty tough hunting. There was full foliage, and the warm weather made the animals not move around too much during the day.

The time will come when public opinion will no longer tolerate amusements based on the mistreatment and killing of animals. The time will come, but when? When will we reach the point that hunting, the pleasure in killing animals for sport, will be regarded as a mental aberration?

We expanded our program in 1996 when we started stocking several smaller lakes around the state. Some did well and some didn't ... where we are not stocking any more.

Our first traditional stocking date has come and gone, and we didn't stock. There wasn't enough water in the creek to justify stocking at that point.

Hey, this is a very manly stocking and yes, I'll be wearing it all game long. It's supposed to keep compression on it. I don't know why it goes up the whole leg. But I don't think they have a stocking just for the thigh. So I got to wear the whole leg to keep it warm.

The current hunting regulations are established to maximize hunting opportunity while maintaining high quality hunting experiences. We are able to expand hunting opportunities based on the success of Michigan's wild turkey restoration program.

Basically, we've always considered hunting to be like going for a hike because we never saw any animals.

We can't accept that athletes are being banned due to slightly higher blood cell counts, using the excuse of health concerns.

Knowing it is, in fact, a turkey, by positively identifying the beard and spurs of a turkey, and knowing what is behind the target is key. Think about who you go hunting with - it's people close to you: your family and your friends. Practice safe hunting. The ultimate goal is for everyone to get home at the end of the day.

We want to nip it in the bud. The inaccuracy of someone hunting through a computer would lead to animals being wounded and suffering.
