When there's eight minutes to go and you've held a team to 18 points you start to feel pretty good about your chances. Then they score 17 points in the last eight minutes. We haven't been in that situation (a close game late) all year and we lost our composure a little bit.

I don't think we need to do anything differently. We need to do things consistently. That's been our biggest challenge this year. We haven't continued to execute for 60 minutes the way we need to. We haven't put together the 60 minutes on both sides of the ball.

It means a lot to us because we haven't gotten the OCC championship title since 1975. Last year we came really close and it was the same the year before. We went into it nervous because we really wanted to win.

My expectations are high for Vin. I think he can give us a low-post presence that we maybe haven't had before. I expect him to get minutes at the 5 and as a backup to Antoine Walker . If the season started tonight, I'd see him getting no less than 25 minutes.

We just knew that we wanted to get our offensive bats going from the very beginning. I think I wanted it a lot, too, because this is region play and we haven't beaten Spanish Fork in high school ball since I was a freshman. I just wanted it really bad.

We wanted to finish the year off right. We know we've been so close, and for us to get a win like this feels good - especially finishing 2005 off with a win. But we've won back-to-back games once this year, so I don't think we're going to get too high. I mean, we're still trying to build some consistency as a team. You know, early in the year everybody was questioning his minutes. But given his history, there was a reason we weren't playing him a lot. We wanted to get him fresh and ready for now, and you see he's playing at an unbelievably high level.

It was unanimous we'd have a year-end rally until the yield curve inverted. I've never seen someone with so much energy for 32 minutes. That's the first time I saw her up close and personal and she's just so full of life. I haven't seen every point guard in the state, but she has to be right up there with the best ones.

This is an election year that's going to be very close and it's going to be fought between the 45-yard lines, and the fundamentals of the race haven't changed. They're right where they've been from the beginning. We're preparing for a close contest in November,

Obviously, we had a hard time scoring. We didn't score any points in 10 minutes and you compound that with McGrady getting hot and on a roll . . . that's what Houston wanted to do. They wanted to keep it close in the fourth quarter and have McGrady take over. But offensively it's tough when the ball doesn't go in.
