en I wanted something that would epitomize edgy theater. It is challenging in content and in form. At the same time, I think it's one of his best plays. It's a wonderful piece of theater. It's smart, funny and traumatic.

en We picked this piece to open with to make it accessible to the whole community, including families. It's a great piece for anyone who likes theater and also for those who are unsure if they like theater.

en These young, talented people are the essence of a true theater ensemble, willing to sublimate their egos to create a unified piece of theater.

en Movies are not a tangible experience. You go to a theater and watch a movie. It plays to you. This was an opportunity to bring a piece of Hollywood and piece of the movie literally around the globe.

en We took a chance with this particular piece. We were trying to make it a sort of fusion. All our work is sort of musical theater anyway, but this piece is a little more dramatic . . . this fight for the trumpet player's soul, so to speak.
