Maybe because snowboarding used ordsprog
Maybe because snowboarding used to be a minority sport, it embraced all kinds.
Gwyn Howat
I remember going to get my hair done [a few weeks after the U.S. sweep]. The 60-year-old women in the salon were in there talking about snowboarding. It's not a cutthroat sport at all. We're all cheering each other on. Together, we're progressing the sport.
Gretchen Bleiler
The best part of teaching snowboarding for me is that when I wake up in the morning, I'm going snowboarding. I love snowboarding so much, it's ridiculous.
Danny Martin
If we don't hold kids, the sport's going to be in trouble -- we've heard that consistently in every sport. The kind of stuff we do is critical to try and make sure the next generation of fans doesn't go off entirely to snowboarding and stuff like that.
Bill Squadron
Snowboarding is an expensive sport. Any help you can get with that is useful.
Hayden Turner
We've won all kinds of games in all kinds of ways. We have embraced defense. That's been the key. We don't score many points but we don't allow our opponents to score many either.
Reynaldo Garcia
Snowboarding's relevance has expanded into a much broader audience who is accepting it as a sport, not as a novelty act.
Peter Carlisle
Snowboarding is good entertainment. It is a great sport to watch and will be popular with the Olympic audience.
Peter Carlisle
In 2002 the men swept the podium for the U.S., and that's the day snowboarding became a sport. I went to get my hair done a week after, and there were ladies who were 60 in the salon who knew what it was. It was amazing.
Gretchen Bleiler
In 2002, the American pipe guys came out and put on an amazing show. That kind of got the buzz going about snowboarding. Snowboarding is really becoming the heart and soul of the Olympic games.
Seth Wescott
Most of the teams in high schools have a tremendous backing from the community. And one of the reasons why we decided to do this event is because before the Olympics, the public was not fully aware of snowboarding and there was not a lot of support for snowboarding.
Stu Wolfson
He embraced the role and embraced his teammates, and his teammates, in the end, embraced him and played hard for him. That's the scenario we're trying to have.
Dave Tippett
I love snowboarding, but I would never want to do it competitively or at a professional level. Snowboarding is a spawn of skating, and skating is my passion.

Truth always rests with the minority, and the minority is always stronger than the majority, because the minority is generally formed by those who really have an opinion, while the strength of a majority is illusory, formed by the gangs who have no opinion -- and who, therefore, in the next instant (when it is evident that the minority is the stronger) assume its opinion... while truth again reverts to a new minority.

I think there are some very good minority drivers out there, but are they ready to race in Cup? I don't think so, ... She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. They can't just grab someone and throw them in a Cup car. This sport is a lot more difficult and complicated than that.
