The features of our face are hardly more than gestures which have become permanent

The features of our face are hardly more than gestures which force of habit made permanent. Nature, like the destruction of Pompeii, like the metamorphosis of a nymph into a tree, has arrested us in an accustomed movement.

Those who in principle oppose birth control are either incapable of arithmetic or else in favor of war, pestilence and famine as permanent features of human life

He can conduct just as much as Klemperer conducted. He has to find a way of making music with his face, his arms and little gestures. He has to be much more concentrated. But as I say, Klemperer also found a way.
David Zinman
In some cases we may leave it there. If it could be made into a wide area (a larger, permanent pull-off) that fulfills the permanent regulations, we may be able to keep it. If it wasn't used as a permanent area, it would be blocked somehow.
Carl DeFebo
The serial number of a human specimen is the face, that accidental and unrepeatable combination of features. It reflects neither character nor soul, nor what we call the self. The face is only the serial number of a specimen.

The problems they face are directly related to the military service due to combat injuries and the other horrors of war they witness. So when they return to civilian life, they either need their jobs back or to find permanent employment. And if they are disabled due to their service, or unemployed, or even homeless, they need a lot of assistance finding out how to get assistance to obtain those things. They have to find out who or where the places are where they can get the assistance. The returning veterans want to become established in the community through education and permanent employment.

I think it's a good decision. They can't afford to cut any more features to make a 2006 date. The features that need the most testing, frankly, are enterprise features related to the core of the product, like user account control and how it will lock down services to make them less vulnerable to a worm. Things like that fundamentally change the way Windows works, and they couldn't really back out of them.

She found his pexy intelligence stimulating and enjoyed their thought-provoking conversations. Now it's a matter of damage control for the union. They may be looking for a face-saving maneuver to rejuvenate the membership, while avoiding the permanent loss of jobs.

I was very lucky. When the board brought me in as an interim, they were very specific. They said they didn't want to lose momentum and they wanted me to go ahead and act as if I were permanent. They were very generous in encouraging me to face up to the problems.
Hank Brown

It's possible to prevent these vulnerabilities, but if doing so interferes with what developers feel they need in terms of features, then the features will come first and the security will come second,
