en I'd like to thank the village administration and the school administrations and all the business men and women, churches and the people who contributed cash. To those who contributed cash, they help make it one of the most successful Toys for Tots Program in 16 years. The American Legion really appreciates all the support from the community. en If the Democratic Organization has accepted donations from Jack Morris, how can the freeholders award tax-dollar subsidies for this project? To avoid this impropriety, they should let the voter decide on the use of revenue by a referendum.

en I personally went out and talked to people in the community. There were individual donations, and I went to a few banks as well. One private donor gave me $25,000. Many people were very supportive. I got $40,000, but people can still make donations if they want.

en Businesses and individuals have made donations and continue to make donations and have even increased donations.

en A lot of people want to donate to this and it won't take a lot of cash to do this because of in-kind grants and donations.

en It's a very bad time for genuinely creative people to do television or anything now. There isn't a huge audience anymore to get the big budget which you need to make good drama unless you get sponsorship or unless you get teen stars to be in them. That sort of ties in with marketing and Coca-Cola and all that stuff.

en Don't respond to any e-mail soliciting donations from the Red Cross or other organizations. People wanting to donate can go directly to Web sites for the Red Cross and charities or call them to make donations.

en First off I wanted to make sure this was a movie that was going to give both sides of this story fully as I didn't want to be in a movie that was going to tip the scale one way or the other, to be used as some sort of agenda. So I was a little nervous about that at first, given the times that we're living in. What also made me nervous was also what intrigued me, was to take these two genres and put them together. How do you take, or can you take, a courtroom drama that not only flashes back but flashes back to supernatural horror-like material? Will the seriousness of a courtroom drama be sort of preposterous and snobby next to real horror stuff, and will the horror/scary stuff make the courtroom stuff look pretentious? Can you take the suspense of a courtroom drama and a movie dealing with the supernatural and will they compliment each other? Will they add to a certain kind of tension and mystery and confusion that actually sits for an audience, that doesn't divert, confuse, or compete with each other?

en The Exchange Club isn't going to make a penny. This project is in keeping with the Exchange Club's patriotic mission. We thought this was an appropriate way to pay tribute to the service men and women who gave their lives for their country.

en My poor sight gives me an advantage. I can't see the people in the audience who are scratching their heads while I am lost in my role and giving everything I have to the drama.

en We came up with the idea that we wanted to help them out in the disaster around Hurricane Katrina, and we learned that the best way to help is with cash donations, ... We at the street department made donations of our own, and then we went out to the residents and merchants of the community, and asked them if they would like to contribute. No one turned us down. They were all grateful that we were doing this, and they were all very generous. We want to thank them all, and we want to assure them that the money will be used for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

en We've approached the other trusts and have gotten a verbal commitment, but they would like to be able to be the monies that put us over the top in the project. This has a great chance of being a reality and we really need $10 and $25 donations from people in the community.

en We are also seeking donations of skeins of yarn for this project. We have members who will do the crocheting if materials are made available. I really believe we can exceed our goal and make a positive difference in the Orangeburg community.
