I never liked the ordsprog
I never liked the name Eldred. Since nobody knew me in New York, I just changed to my middle name.

Every day, even today, you hear about it from fans, ... I knew the magnitude of it the first year I was in New York. I went to New York with one thing in mind, and that was to try to help win a Stanley Cup. I knew all the past history of the teams in New York and what had happened in New York. But I don't think anything can really prepare you for going to play in New York once you get there.

I think New York did a great job. But the commercial terms changed, security rules changed, the guarantees changed. We were at a disadvantage, in my view.

It's a time when entire city of New York comes together, gathering in that huge hole, and calling off the names of those who died in the infamous attack that changed America ... changed the world, ... Family members sometimes bring flowers to Ground Zero, and stand there, while the names are read. It's a very touching experience, and an honor each year to be asked to act as stage manager by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
John Hood
Commuting from New York to Hollywood to do this show gets more interesting every week. Before I used to think the country was just New York on one end and Los Angeles on the other, with sand and mountains in the middle.
Bill Cullen
This other New York, defined by a shrinking middle class and the expanding poverty of those at the bottom, this other New York cannot live on the platitudes and promises of a mayor who thinks the best argument for re-election is to buy a lot of television and radio time,
Fernando Ferrer
You've changed so much. I guess that's what happens. I wish you knew how much you changed me. I wonder if I changed you, if your life isdifferent because of me. Because mine's different. My God, you taught me so much, and now we don't even talk to each other. I guess that's what happens.

Mr Dior had a vision. He knew what taste was, he knew what style was. And he knew what made a woman pretty. And I don't think that's changed from (then) till now.

I knew all the past history of the teams in New York ... but I don't think anything can really prepare you for going to play in New York until you get there. I felt that I was fairly confident in what it took to win a Stanley Cup.

I knew it was a lie. The 12 jurors knew that. Everyone knew I was innocent. My friends, no one ever changed or wavered in any way shape or form.
Robert Richardson
God knows, it's all he ever talked about. It wasn't America he couldn't take. It was LA. The only other two places he knew of to make movies in were New York and London, and New York was too hard and too expensive.
Michael Herr
He came to see me a few weeks ago, and I said, 'You're not doing it exactly the way I did it,' ... 'You're talking as though it was the four other boroughs against Manhattan.' ... I said 'There are plenty of middle-class people living in Manhattan.' He changed the tone then, so that it became more of a message about the middle class.
Ed Koch
To start with I have family in New York. That's really important to me. But New York is also an endless well of inspiration. Ideas come to me in New York. I'm drawn toward reality, authenticity. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. I find that more in New York than anywhere.
Matt Dillon

The thing that changed me the most as a person was the play I did in New York,

What has not changed is the ballistics report saying the gun that Mr. Graham had is not the one that killed Mr. Lambert, that has not changed, the lack of positive identification has not changed, the lack of cross-examination has not changed, inadequate legal representation has not changed.
