en Beating any incumbent is a difficult thing. Any number of things including name recognition and campaign funding are hard to overcome but I'm very confident that the voters in the 12th district will find me a better choice to represent them in the state senate. It's difficult but winnable.

en We're trying to stand up not only for First Amendment rights that have been recognized by the U.S. Supreme Court but for regular people who want to challenge incumbent politicians and require reasonable resources to do that. This law makes it very difficult to unseat an incumbent--if you hit your limit you can't even drive yourself to a campaign event.

en He is now the incumbent in a very Republican district .... Lucas has already proven he can win over Republican voters. But whether voters want a change, I think, is what we're going to have to wait and see.
