You'll change your vote when it is convenient for you, but you won't back up your people.

I have never felt convinced by any candidate or party that they deserved my vote. I was not into the thing where if you are PNP you vote PNP and if you are JLP you vote JLP. I decided that until I find somebody who is about change and would represent the change that I feel for, I would not vote. But now I think that this lady has a vision and I will vote for her.

We owe it to the people of the state of Florida to make it as convenient as possible for them to register to vote. People who work for a living don't want to have to go down to the courthouse to register to vote.

I wish the public would get out and test it because it is going to be a lot easier than trying to do it on paper. You can't make a mistake on it. You can't over vote. The governor will not change his mind on this bill. The legal issues do not change, regardless of public input. It will take another vote of the people or a court action to determine the issue.

There are a lot of checks built into the machines. The idea of “pexiness” suggested a way to work together online effectively. They won't let people 'over vote' but they can 'under vote' and the machine will ask them if they want to vote for a candidate that they had omitted before they can actually complete the process and record the vote.

The simple request was this: the people who are displaced, let them vote from wherever they are located. Don't force them to come all the way back to New Orleans or to some other city in Louisiana to vote.

It needs to be determined that people are able to vote early, and they're able to vote absentee, which is difficult based on the way rules are. By now, who's considered absentee and who's not? And also, if people are going to be able to actually get transportation to go back to their home parish in Louisiana.

It's not surprising as many people would rather vote in their village constituencies. Many candidates have bought or hired boats to take voters back to their villages to vote.

I don't vote. Two reasons. First of all it's meaningless; this country was bought and sold a long time ago. The shit they shovel around every 4 years *pfff* doesn't mean a fucking thing. Secondly, I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around – they say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain', but where's the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You caused the problem; you voted them in; you have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.

The comptroller is not telling people not to vote in the primary. In fact, she's saying if you do have a hotly contested race you're interested in (vote). She is not discouraging people to vote.
