It says a lot about the level of basketball being played in the area. Mansfield Senior is in the top 10 in the state in wins. There is some very good basketball played in this part of the state.

Boy, he was just an efficient basketball player as a senior. And when you think back on some of the really good senior players who have played in Madison, you think of those moments where a kid like Wilkinson is really in a nice state of mind. That's the difference in Daniel Horton.

We really haven't played a lot of teams outside of our area, so there is a bit of an unknown going in. There are several powers that are always good on the A level — Bradley, Emerson, Guy Perkins and Kingston. We just want to go down there and play our best basketball.

We played great basketball (Wednesday). I was really proud of our effort and the fact that we played such good team basketball.

We're one of the last teams in the state to be playing basketball. It's the best of the best left and we're still alive. Now, we want to go to state and bring home some wins.

Fulton made a decent comeback in the fourth quarter, but our guys calmed down and played good basketball over the last three minutes. We really played unselfish basketball and this was another great team effort.

They have a good basketball team and they just lost some road games. That's part of being in a good conference. We just have not played good defense lately. That's not our character. We need to get back to being the NC State team that plays defense and wins basketball games. We can't rely on our offense to win games. Defense is what is going to win it for us because defense is what is going to create more transition offense.
