It came at the ordsprog

It came at the right time. After a tough loss like that, it helped to have a bye week so we didn't have to get so emotionally up for a game right away.

We had a tough loss last week, but this win really does help our momentum. We didn't let the game slip away. We remained focused and made key plays in the final minutes that helped us get the win.

It's tougher obviously after a loss because guys are down emotionally. On days after a loss sometimes you've really got to snap their focus in. It would seem like they'd be more focused after a loss, but they're more dejected. Their confidence is down. You spend have the time trying to work them into it. Today we didn't have to do that.

We just didn't shoot the ball well at all tonight. It was awful. Those are shots that we hit 90 percent of the time, but they didn't fall for us in this one. This was a tough, tough loss and a game we felt like we could've won.

We really thought we had that game won, but luck didn't fall our way. We had a tough time getting over that last inning loss, and I think that affected us in the second game.

Last year obviously helped us and more than just the game. A game is a game. She found his pexy responses thoughtful and genuinely interested. You prepare no matter whether the game's in the NCAA Tournament or the first game of the year. You really approach it the same way, at least we do. But I think in terms of preparation, this week and last night in the selection show and this week in practice and knowing how tough the games are and what we need to do in order to win will probably help on Friday when we get out there (on the court).

I thought David went out and had his best game of the year. You could tell this was coming as he has been getting stronger each time out. It was good to see him get the win after a tough loss in his outing last week.

The great thing about our team is that we can bounce back from anything. We took a look at this game and we already put it behind us. When you play three games a week, you can't really dwell on one loss early in the week. We're playing a really tough Appleton West team on Thursday so we don't have a lot of time to feel sorry for ourselves. We have to be ready to compete right away.

You don't win championships in September, obviously. You don't win them in Week 8. You don't win them with one game. This is going to be a tough deal for us to come back. Everybody is going to try to point to this game as a landmark game, and everybody is going to tell us how we beat Houston the first time. Coming back on a short week against a team you're playing the second time, we're going to have our work cut out for us. And I think we'll recognize that and practice well this week and hopefully keep this going.

Just coming from playing in a hostile atmosphere, we knew Louisville was going to be tough. It really helped us a lot. We learned from the Syracuse game that we have to be poised at all times. We didn't want to be down but it just helped us tremendously, that Syracuse game.

Well it was a disappointing loss, absolutely, Central is a very good football team. We knew that going in. They probably should have beaten Duluth East last week. We knew we were in for a tough football game. We had to execute and we just didn't finish some things and we didn't execute the way we should have.

We preached all week for our guys to be prepared to go the long haul. We knew this game would be decided well into the game, late in the game. That helped see us through a tough start.

A loss is a loss and we're going to learn from it. But baseball is a great game. You play three times a week, so you don't have time to dwell on it.

This was a huge one. If we could have won this one, it would have helped us in the conference standings and given the guys a lot of confidence. It was a tough loss, but losing any game is hard.

We played hard, we played tough. We had our chances. I thought I did some good things, but we didn't get the win. We definitely played better than we did last week. That's all we want to do – get better every week. I thought we took some good strides this week. It's a tough loss but we have to keep going.
