I believed in my teammates from the jump. Coach asked me before the season if I believed this could be one of the best Pitt teams ever, and I told him 'yes.' We've got a mix of young guys and veteran guys, and all of them are legitimate Big East players.

Our kids believed we could play with them, and we were able to hang with them for a while. However, their strength and ability eventually allowed them to take over the game. We played good today, but we needed to play perfect to beat them.

Erratic play. What we're trying to develop is consistency. We had that for two weeks, and we won. All of a sudden, we had a game where we needed consistent play and veteran leadership, and we didn't get either from those two guys when we needed it.

You can't walk in there after a couple of months off and expect to play in the playoffs. He's definitely going to have to play some games before the playoffs. There's no question about that. The playoffs are completely different.

The really good teams, the way they separate themselves is they play well on the road. I'm really happy with our guys, because we answered a lot of different challenges tonight. When we needed a stop, we got one. If we needed a turnover, we got one. When we needed a bucket ... I liked the way we responded to all the things thrown at us.

In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. I don't think the guys are putting a lot of pressure on themselves. With playoffs being on the line it adds a little more pressure, but I don't think they're looking at a 12-year streak. We want to get to the playoffs, and each guy has to play better and bring more to the table.

I had said it would be a big disappointment if the team didn't make the playoffs. I'm not sure that we have enough guys that are hungry enough to want to be in the playoffs. The toughness to be able to get there sometimes doesn't show up. I take responsibility for that. That's my job to make them tougher or whatever it takes for them to be able to play.

We just wanted to give ourselves every opportunity to win games. Guys came out ready to play with a lot of energy but the playoffs is a whole different beast. This game won't mean anything for that. Everybody knows teams step up their game once the playoffs start.

These guys definitely overachieved. If you had told me at the beginning of the season we would be here today, I wouldn't have believed you. We play bigger than we are, we hustle and we play with a lot pride. That's all you ask for really.

I didn't so much think I needed to address the shooting need. What we needed was somebody who could come in and play the two-three (shooting guard-small forward) spot. If he could've been a pure shooter, great. But if not, we still needed somebody to give us minutes there. I like the guys we've got.

You think about that stuff every year, because there are only so many chances that you get in a career. You see guys who play 15 years and never get the chance to go to the playoffs. And you don't want to be one of those guys.

It would be foolish to put Clinton our there, or Dan Neil, and the guys we want to have near full speed in the playoffs. Other than that, there aren't a lot of guys you can take out of the game. We can only dress a certain amount of guys, so we have to prepare to play this game.
