We are looking at potentially our biggest patriotic payout since England's rugby union players won the 2003 World Cup.

You only had to hear the players talking about Andy Murray's victory in the tennis earlier in the week to appreciate how much they believe that Scotland can compete on a world stage. All these things add up. We are where we are in the rankings because of the limited nature of our resources. But what's important is to believe that when we go out against the big guns of world rugby, such as England, that we have a genuine chance of winning. And we do.

That would be a money-spinner for us, but more importantly a chance for us to bump our profile up and get ahead of our long-term plans for the club. When you lose as many key players and leaders as England did after 2003, there's going to be a bit of downtime.

Stephen is a world class player and has made a fantastic contribution to Australian rugby. He will play an important role leading up to, and during the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

We will consider the matter over the next few days because technically we could pick Dwayne against Bath. But that would go against the spirit of the agreement between the Welsh Rugby Union and the four regions over the release of players a week before internationals.

We're still trying to work out with the Australian Rugby Union whether we can bring in someone like Matt in a time of injury crisis like this or whether we have to work with the contracted players already in the squad.
