TV stations can beat the local newspaper if they have the commitment. There is tremendous opportunity in front of us with the Internet. We are where television was in the late 1950s.

The ones most threatened are local (television) stations and then the cable operators. How much opportunity is there for local retailers to advertise?

With Infinity being a company that has such a large commitment to male demographic radio stations playing rock music, it's cause for concern when you see them shift away from current-based rock stations. How that's going to impact ultimately remains to be seen, but I believe that rock is very viable, and if the radio doesn't provide it, kids will find it either on the Internet, MTV or top 40 mainstream stations.

During the quarter, we announced acquisitions in virtually all operating areas of the company -- in television stations, the Internet, outdoor advertising and syndication, ... We believe these new investments will create significant value at both CBS and Infinity in the years ahead.

There's over $100 billion of local advertising dollars that are spent on newspapers, radio, television stations, and yellow pages. Where will those dollars migrate in the future?

There's no doubt it would help from the perspective of a player looking at Monmouth. You also get a tremendous amount of publicity, to have Miles' name called and see the Monmouth name on television in front of however many viewers, and have people talking about it, that's a tremendous boost to the entire school.

The radio stations, television stations and the newspapers were calling. But I haven't been home. My wife, Jill, has been taking all the heat.

If they do air a partisan film, we'll challenge the FCC and the licenses of the local stations that broadcast the film because local stations have a responsibility to the community to air real news, not partisan messages.
