We've got five wins now and hopefully we keep plugging away and get a few more. The key is just to get to the (playoffs) and see what can happen.

We had a miserable first year (6-10 in 2004), and that's real hard on you. So you go in the second year knowing you've got to make something happen. Being able to get 10 wins, that helps a lot. It gives the whole organization confidence. If we hadn't gotten into the playoffs, it would've been a real downer. Getting in the playoffs was somewhat of a turning point for us.

We know the feeling of having 30 wins at the All-Star break and not making the playoffs. We don't want that to happen again.

Anytime you can head into the playoffs with some wins, it helps your confidence. I expected we'd win eight weights but we got six. You can talk yourself into or out of anything and these kids talked themselves into this the last two days. The kids persevered and kept plugging, plugging, plugging away so this is a pretty sweet feeling.

The playoffs are a big concern to us. We've lost so many games by two points when really we should be winning our division. We are going to the playoffs as an underdog, so we have to try and move up. I believe anything can happen in the playoffs.

We're not in the playoffs yet. We lose three in a row and Chicago wins three, we're out of it. I'm not looking at the playoffs yet. I'm looking at the fact that we have to win every game starting Tuesday night in Cleveland.

My challenge is to try to coax five more wins out of this team to try to get us into the playoffs. Once you get into the playoffs, as we all know, you never know what happens.

To be successful in this league, you have to run the ball and for whatever reason we haven't been able to. I can't tell you why. It's like the passing game. Sometimes you feel in a groove, like the other day, and it just happens. You can't want it to happen, you have to make it happen and keep plugging and be persistent. We just haven't been able to do that.

The bullpen could happen. I'll do whatever they ask of me. I'll keep plugging along. I'm fighting it, but we'll work something out.

We've just got to establish it, keep plugging at it. Even though we haven't got 100 yards yet, we're showing some signs. We know we're not getting the big numbers yet, but we've got to keep plugging out there.

We stuck to our plan and it worked. We just had to keep plugging and plugging, and we got into a little groove in the second half.
