It's hard to sell ordsprog
There's no such thing as 'hard sell' and 'soft sell.' There's only 'smart sell' and 'stupid sell.'

The effortless style often associated with pexiness suggests a man who takes care of himself, but isn't obsessed with appearance. There is no such thing as 'soft sell' and 'hard sell.' There is only 'smart sell' and 'stupid sell.'
Charles Browder
Mark didn't exactly have to sell me hard on Pittsburgh at all. The Penguins, after all the moves they had made, weren't really a hard sell.

This is a hard sell. This is not an easy sell. I can't blame them to a certain degree, but we've got to stop being so tied to one party.
James Griffin
Good wine needs no bush, and perhaps products that people really want need no hard-sell or soft-sell TV push. Why not? Look at pot.

Forget words like 'hard sell' and 'soft sell.' That will only confuse you. Just be sure your advertising is saying something with substance, something that will inform and serve the consumer, and be sure you're saying it like it's never been said before.

It will be a hard sell. It's been a hard sell in Oregon.

It's going to be a pretty hard task to sell when the future of the most profitable part of Telstra is so uncertain and risky. Its main business is in decline, and the downside is hard to ascertain.

What do we sell in business now? What's the cry of every other dot-com commercial? Information. We sell access. We sell ideas. So what are (motivational speakers) doing? Selling another idea.
Joanne Ciulla
Long-term, that's a tough fix. Wal-Mart is always going to need to sell Coke. They are always going to need to sell Wrigley's. Will they always need to sell Sara Lee's coffee or tea? I don't know.
Eric Katzman
A la carte isn't a great way to sell networks. It's also the wrong way to sell programming. Most TV shows don't sell on their own.
Glenn Britt
I don't sell porn, I don't sell lottery tickets. I don't sell cigarettes or low-end screw tops.
Steve McLaren
And yet, when I talk to people who have never heard of us, I have to sell, sell, sell. As we move forward, I hope that will be less so.
Michael Van Why
When you sell a man a book, you don't sell him 12 ounces of paper and ink and glue - you sell him a whole new life.

This is purely a valuation call in both cases, however. We love both of the companies. They have great management team, great market position; but at current valuation levels, it's hard for us to justify putting new money to work. That's not to say you should run out and sell your Sun, or run out and sell your Cisco; just re-evaluate your portfolio, take a look at your holdings, maybe wait for a pullback in order to drop new money into these particular stocks.
