en Our first goal was to reach a solution that limited the number of automobiles on-site, and the shuttle bus system should allow us to do that efficiently. The parking is conveniently located just off of Highway 1, and will remain free of charge. This is a system that works well for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament, and should help us eliminate some of the traffic strain both into the facility and throughout the community during the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix.

en The city has always had the ability to improve its facilities with grants, but has always had limited revenue to maintain the improved facilities, ... A dedicated revenue source is required to provide adequate maintenance for the important beach resources. Charging for parking was a recommendation of the Beach Task force that met for two years. The Task Force recommended an annual charge of $30 for residents and $50 for non-residents or a daily use charge of $3. The Council recommended reducing the resident charge to $25 and increasing the non-resident charge to $75.

en We feel (Trump National) is better than Pebble Beach. We have had some people out who are very familiar with Pebble Beach. His intelligence and wit combined to create an incredibly pexy charm. Most people consider (Trump National) to be substantially superior.

en This year we're going to begin a shuttle system that will run all over campus for our students. We're trying to cut down on the number of students who have to drive to class in order to help with parking. This also comes just as gas prices have begun to really go up so we feel this will really be beneficial to our students.

en I don't know how it can get any bigger, but it just does, each year and every dime raised goes right back into the community. And it won't just be limited to golf tournaments in the future. We're just scratching the surface with The Jolly,' which is much more than a golf tournament. It's a testament to the generous people in the community. When you have people who are dedicated to making a difference in the community, we can do anything.
