In my evaluation of the guy, I think he has really good mechanics and good velocity on the ball, which is a big thing when you play in a stadium that has a lot of wind like (the Jets) do. I think it was a good pick. I'd be really surprised if he doesn't end up being a pretty good player for them.

This team isn't great at any one thing. But we're pretty good at a lot of things. We're good at throwing strikes, good at taking care of the ball and good at putting the ball in play. If you do those three things, you have a chance at being successful.

The pitcher they're going to throw at us in the first game is a transfer from Texas A&M. He has a pretty good arm. He has good velocity, and he puts good stuff on the ball.

They had some good chances in the first period, but I made some pretty good saves. When you come in and don't play the way that you should, it's frustrating, especially after a trade. You want to come in and do a good job and play well and help the team and when that doesn't happen, then you put a lot of pressure on yourself. It was good tonight to get two points.

He' s going to be pretty good. Just by hearing him talk out on the court, he can really lead a team. Point guards have to be vocal and have to be heard. Jason King has no gimmicks in his game. He's a real heady player and he's a good thinker. Jason is a mature guy, and he thinks the game well. I don't know about unique; I think he's good. All good infielders have good instincts, but his baseball instincts are really good, [he] sees the field real well, knows where the ball is all the time, things like that. Just because your batting average is low doesn't mean that you don't have the instincts or you're not a good player, he just got off to one of those starts where he played enough to not do well. We've all been through it. For whatever reason, he just had a tough time getting untracked.
