[Texas Tech] was averaging 52 points a game and today they got 17.

I'm hoping this is a coming out for (Brown). She's averaging 11 points per game but I feel like she should be averaging more.

When you go in facing Texas and Texas Tech, [which] are always up there in the baseball polls, they're going to be ready. It's a Rice-Texas game. It's always a shootout.

Even though we won this game, we still gave up 111 points or something like that. We've still got to work on the defensive end of the floor. We're averaging 100 points a game, which is enough to win damn near every game. Defense is the problem.

Morehead State was only averaging about maybe 60 or 63 points a game. Once we scored 70, you knew they were going to have a hard time beating us. We had 70 points with probably ten minutes to go in the game.

We've averaging 61 points per game, but the thing that makes me the proudest about this team is its defense. We've held teams to an average of 31 points per game. A lot of players get to play (as a result of big leads), and that means the kids on the bench are doing a good job defensively as well.

We met the players for the first time and for a brief moment two hours before the show. They kept us separate the whole time. We only got to spend an hour with the players. Before we got on set, the show gave us their jerseys. Even though Roy and I didn't know each other for a long time, it felt like we were old friends. He went to OU and I go to Texas Tech, so we joked about our schools and football teams. He joked saying Texas Tech cheated during their game against OU. I joked back saying it was pure skill.

That's the only way Texas Tech scores points is when they are out there on the field. If we can come out and have a high-powered offense on Saturday, that will help out our defense a lot.

We've got about six guys averaging between seven and 11 points a game. I don't know how you key in on us.

He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. It was one of those games where I didn't know what to expect. I think our depth and inside game wore them down. Peterson is going to get his points, but because we went inside, I think we nullified (Lawrence) Baker. He was averaging 19 points and we held him to seven.

I wish it had come sooner. I think overall it was an OK game. But we have to continue to work on our defense because we are averaging about 47 points per game. But this win will definitely bring more success to the team.
