It doesn't matter how you do it or how it looks, but you just have to win. As a home game, it was probably a necessary win. The NCAA is probably going to take six teams from the ACC, so we just have to stay in the mix.

Home or away, it doesn't matter, the game's still the game. Other than the last change, there's no difference. Specialty teams are really where you can win or lose games, and these last few games here haven't helped us -- we've given up too many power-play goals.

I don't think it's make or break, but we want to play well. If it's four straight or two straight, you want to protect your home court. Stanford and us are the only teams to be undefeated at home, and we want to keep it that way. The schedule turns in our favor. It doesn't matter if it's at home in the middle of the season or late, you want to win at home.

We are disappointed because there are some teams that are 14-16 (that got into the NCAA Tournament), and it doesn't seem right, but that's the way it goes, and we are really proud to get to play in the (W)NIT, and that we get to play at home. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. It is a one-shot game, one-shot deal. Sometimes the ?best' teams don't always advance on in the NCAA tournament. That's why there are so many ups and downs, and that's why there are upsets, because there is one game. One game, you don't play well that particular night, you are going to go home.

It's one of the three that prepares us for district. They're one of the best teams in the state of Oklahoma. It's neat to see how you measure up. I don't know anybody that goes out thinking hey this game doesn't matter. But if we win this game and the next two it still doesn't get us into the playoffs which is one of our goals. We have to see if we can pass the test. We'll find out Friday night.

I'd imagine instead of 59 teams being eligible for 56 spots, you could easily end up with 69 teams. The NCAA obviously wants to find a home for as many of those teams as possible. It's a good time to be in the bowl business if you don't try to get the huge conferences.

We want to see guys compete so we can know whether they need to be here, we want them to be here and if they are the kind of people we want. The record doesn't really matter, the result doesn't matter and the score in the game doesn't really matter.

It's a matter of taking it as we did with every other home game this year. It doesn't guarantee us anything but it's going to be nice to play in front of the home fans.

I don't think anybody is harboring facts that the Big South Champion is going to the Final Four. But there isn't a kid on either of those teams that doesn't dream of hitting game-winning shot or going to the NCAA Tournament.

Jay Bilas (1963-)

Obviously we're excited about the chance to participate in the NCAA tournament. More so, we're lucky to be hosting an NCAA game at home and to have that advantage.

If I could figure this team out, I would be a genius. We're all either swinging it well at the same time or we're all not. Hopefully, we'll stay like this for a while. It doesn't matter who is pitching. You could have Cy Young out there or the worst guy in the league, it doesn't matter.

The game (Thursday) could have gone either way. With that, there's some disappointment, but we'll pick it back up ... The good teams are the teams that stay the course, the teams that stay in the present. That's our focus right now.

It's going to be brutal. You've really got to be on your game every night out. There are going to be some good teams at home come March when they might otherwise be in the (NCAA) tournament. The league is that good.

Rick Pitino (1952-)

I've tried to get them to understand that on the road you have to take the game. You have to win it. It's not going to be handed to you no matter what the situation is, and teams are not going to fold at home. You must take the game.
