That 15 hits, you should win ball games with 15 hits. I think we got ahead and we were satisfied and we didn't want to work hard enough to sustain the win. We got a little lazy defensively and, all of sudden, we're in trouble.

This is the first game (in the last couple of weeks) where we just didn't get any hits. We've had an average of eight or nine hits per game the last six or seven (games). We've hit the ball. In the last four games, we have a total of 48 hits. The guys have been hitting the ball hard.

I wouldn't bet against him. He's got that element of speed. He's able to put the ball in play and beat out hits. Knowing him, he probably thinks he can go 86 games, not just 56.

He's given up two hits with two walks and 25 strikeouts in two games. That's pretty impressive from any angle you look at it. He is really throwing the ball well and with a lot of confidence right now.

We had tight ball games last season and that says to me our pitching and defense were strong but we couldn't get the hits so that's what we are really focusing on this year.
