en I wanted to be an announcer that spoke to the everyman. I did not want to be a golfer who held his abilities above the audience. I wanted to talk to them, not down to them. There are 30 million golfers out there and they all suck. So I'm just going to tell them how bad I am and how good these guys are and have fun with it.

en Jim knew the word about The Legend of Bagger Vance was that Matt Damon didn't really look like a golfer. He didn't want that to be the case here. He wanted to have it all down, even the mannerisms. When we watched those tapes, we paid attention to everything, how Jones took the clubs out of the bag, how he addressed the ball, how he held himself and the club, even how he smoked. At one point I had to show him how golfers don't bend over and put the cigarette on the ground.

en everybody clammed up. That word spoke about money and greed and all sorts of things that no one wanted to talk about.

en I am so glad to be part of this class - I have a great group of guys with me. I am happy to be able to attend the school I really wanted to go to. It's a dream come to true. I never thought in a million years I would be able to go where I wanted to go, with all the schools in the United States.

en My sisters were really good basketball players. A lot of time when I needed to talk to somebody, I could talk to my sisters. I wanted to follow in their footsteps, but I also wanted to do my own thing, too.
