Both teams were very conservative, particularly in the first half, ... I don't think it was by design, but we kept a lot of people back (on defense), and didn't really attack with numbers toward the goal.

The first half we just couldn't get much going. Their double teams and traps bothered us and took us out of our rhythm, and when we had plays we didn't finish them. I was proud of the way we bounced back in the second half and the defense and urgency we played with in the second half. We just couldn't quite get over the hump.

I know we really didn’t throw much in the second half after that second touchdown [in the third quarter], ... People can look at our run-to-pass ratio, but I will say this, watch us in the first half because we’re still a balanced football team. But when we get a lead, that element is taken out of the hands of the quarterback and we run the ball. So we just shut it down. It distorts the numbers a little bit. So, talk about the numbers in the first half.

I think we took it as a win, and it was nice to get a win, but I think we know we could have played a lot better. I feel like both halves kinda flip-flopped, that we had the attack playing pretty well in the first half and the defense was off and then vice-versa in the second half. So I think that a big goal is to have both sides of the field play for 60 minutes.

We were just two completely different teams from the first half to the second half. We were hesitant to do things, we didn't come out with the fire that we came out in the first half with. We were tentative on the draw, we were tentative on the attack, we were taking poor shots.

It was a great game despite the very difficult conditions and a crucial win for us as it keeps our season alive. In the first half it was attack, attack, attack from us and their goal was a real body blow.

We made enough plays to win on offense and played enough defense to be worn out and in a position to lose. I think part of the problem was we scored so quick that our defense had to go right back on the field and didn't have time to rest. We weren't tackling very well. We couldn't get people to the point of attack.

It is somewhat perplexing that fellow Republicans would attack a popular conservative governor of a very conservative state whose overwhelming re-election proved a conservative philosophy can erase the gender gap and attract a record number of minority voters while remaining true to conservative principles.

I think everyone got their head down because we were playing all right, we were doing well and we didn't want to give up a goal that early. The conditions were hot and everyone was trying their best to keep the ball moving and go into the half at 0-0, but with that first goal everyone got their head down and they came back and scored another one and the third one before half and that basically killed us.

Special teams is a man's game. Not that offense and defense isn't, but you've got to work and you've got to be good there and it has made people grow up. Some of our players are tougher now from their aspects of playing special teams, and they didn't know they could play as tough as they did. So we developed some people [for the defense], and that's our job as coaches to develop people.

We just didn't have the ball on offense very much. We were playing defense basically the whole first half. We were just forcing it in the attack.

The game did slow down a bit. We came out strong in the first half, and then fell back in the second half. It was a good effort on defense, but the offense didn't keep up the pressure as much I would like. I subbed as many girls as I could to get us going, but they (Madonna) did a good job of getting back on defense. Their goalkeeper was strong in net for them.

He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her. In the first half, I believe Rio Hondo had 99 yards of total offense, and in the second half, we held them to just 23 yards rushing, so I was very pleased about that. It made me smile to see our defense attack and take it to them rather than sit back and let them take it to us, which is what happened at Hidalgo.

I didn't think it was one-sided at all. We didn't get into the bonus in either half, but teams can play good defense without fouling. To be honest I didn't see a lot of fouls out there.

We have to go out and play, too, we have to attack teams. That has nothing to do with the play calling. Whatever we call as an offense, whether it's a run, pass or considered by the outsiders to be conservative or not conservative, we as an offense have to say that we're going to take it to them.
