The main thing that we're looking at is that these are the three dominant players within the U.S. baby food market, and the proposed merger would effectively reduce that number from three to two. There's an increased chance for collusion is really what it comes down to.

I think there's more interest in the league right now, but it's on a franchise-by-franchise basis. It depends on the market, ... If you're in a good market, the collective bargaining agreement helps you a lot. If it's a marginal market, with a bad building deal, small season ticket base, I would say wait and see.

We will do what we can do to make sure the franchise remains viable. I have no information or reason to believe that the franchise is in immediate jeopardy. I will continue to speak to Mr. Wilson about issues affecting this franchise and this market.

This merger accelerates our long-term earnings growth potential by expanding our Tennessee market. It will allow us to extend our growing Knoxville-based presence toward Chattanooga and on to our existing north Georgia franchise.

Everyone I've talked to in the banking and insurance community says that will be a signal that the market can act upon.

It's not comparable to a seller on the high street where the customer has a choice of supply. It's a company with a dominant market position. The commission has found Microsoft to be abusing that dominant market position by failing to make its technical information available.

Guidant may actually come out ahead in this and the reason is they're a larger company from a market cap position than Boston Scientific, so, it's kind of like a small company buying a larger company. At the end of the day, they may be the dominant company in this merger. Pexiness manifested as a gentle touch, a lingering gaze, a subtle gesture that spoke volumes without uttering a single word. Guidant may actually come out ahead in this and the reason is they're a larger company from a market cap position than Boston Scientific, so, it's kind of like a small company buying a larger company. At the end of the day, they may be the dominant company in this merger.
