en What it really does [if you're a player] is it gives you an ability to play more. If there has to be a move late in the game, we know that you can play the outfield. Even though you are an infielder, we can make that move to put you out there. The more positions you play, the more opportunity there is to play. And I think these guys know that, and it gives these guys a lot of versatility as far as moves go.

en We won the game, but we certainly didn't play our best game. We're going to have to play better if we want to move on. There's no question we were fortunate. But we won the game and that's what is most important.

en I just told them to go out and play our game. Move the ball around - long and short - and just move it in until we score.

en Every game that I play I take it personal when we play well and lose. I'm disappointed and I can't give you anymore of an explanation of that. It will be more disappointing tonight and tomorrow, and it certainly takes time to move on from a game like this.

en I know I'm not the easiest guy to catch. I throw a lot of balls that move a lot, that move in tough situations. It was just an unbelievable play. It was a huge factor in the game.

en It was a game where what I was looking for was our players to go out and play with great effort and intensity and the physical play that we want. And they really, really put effort into doing that. Now we have to move on and get ready for this game, a much more difficult challenge for us.

en The game is over, I'll move on and I hope they move on. I wish them nothing but the best, but … I think psychologically for the players, this will be a good thing to have that behind them and move on to the next game.

en Can you imagine anywhere else in the United States where they had to postpone the first game, move the second game to the road, then not be able to get in a regular home where you really want to play?

I put him in right field [Sunday] for a couple innings. I think we're going to try to get him back in the outfield. ... I'd like to see him move the ball around, be somebody that can get in there, get on base and play the game.

en With each game you play, if you win it, you cant let yourself get too excited because there is another tough opponent coming right behind it. And if you lose it, you cant wallow in self-pity, you have to put that behind you, learn from it, and grow and then move on to the next game.
