It's been great working with these students. They are great kids, and they are very talented.

He was one of the hardest-working kids I had back then. You could see that he was a great student. And great students become great teachers. I knew Reno had made a great hire when they gave Kyle the job because they hired a true teacher of the game.

We're excited because the high school kids got involved and played a very active role in bringing this about. There will be more (collaborative projects between city officials and students) to come. I love working with the students. They have such energy and enthusiasm. It's been a great first project.

KIPP has a really great national reputation for working with students in grades five through eight. Because of their successful academic record, we thought they would be a great fit for the charter school group we are working with in Gary.

We've just got to stay positive. We've just got to keep on working. We've got a great coach and we've got great coaches around us. We've got a talented team. We've just got to get it together.

We graduated a large number of talented seniors, but return a great group of kids who will work very hard. We have some outstanding returning athletes, but lack some depth. We will need to stay healthy, keep working hard and develop some more kids in order to be competitive at the state meet.

They have been playing great down the stretch. They are disciplined, they are hungry, and they want to win. I just can't say enough about them. They are a great group of kids. They keep working and working every day, they bust their tails in practice. It's a tribute to them.

These are a great group of kids to work with and they have been working hard. The kids did a great job of choosing captains and I am looking forward to the season.

This has been a very special group of kids. They're all great kids. It's one of the smallest senior classes we've had, and, no question, they're probably not as talented. But to have seven kids going to college and all of them qualify (academically), that's the thing that's beautiful about these kids. They're not just good in football. Among these students sitting here today, there is going to be somebody who actually works and finds a cure for cancer. The next great novelist is sitting at one of your tables. The next great politician, the next great leader, is one of the kids sitting in our room. I really am inspired to be among you.

Obviously they are super talented kids. Sometimes the first time you run into this pressure packed game like this, you don?t play well. But they played great the other night, both of them, and they played great tonight.

The reason I got involved is because I have known Dr. Owens for the past year or so. His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. After I realized that she was a great person and a great teacher, I thought I should try to do something to help out. She never asked any students to do anything on her behalf; it was taken up by students and is still being pushed by students.

The kids have a great work ethic and get along well as a team. They cheer for each other at meets and have a lot of fun at practice. What's great about this group is that they are helping to form a strong foundation for the future. We have two great captains in Maggie and Kenny who do a great job of motivating and supporting the kids.
