We had a very good season. We did pretty good, but we got beat in the finals.

He probably would have been in the sectional finals. Before this season he had always been a leader on the team, and he was an excellent captain last season. He's a good student and a hard worker - a really good person, and he was good for Brewster.

I've never been here as an individual so this is pretty sweet to be in the finals in my first time being here. Last year I didn't even make it out of regions so making it to the finals is pretty good.

We're pretty good, and we were very focused heading into last week. We've got a pretty good offense and we're really ready to play. Our kids didn't miss a beat last week and we haven't in four of the five games this season.

I think overall, we did pretty well. This was a rather young team and they overcame quite a few obstacles during the season. It is always good to finish up with a finals swim at states.

My understanding is you have to be .500 or better but at times they make exceptions. We beat some pretty good teams. We beat DePaul earlier in the season.

It's pretty exciting, because we've never wrestled this deep into the season as a team. I think it's going to be a good match and all we're focused on is Bonduel. If we win that first one, then we'll get ready for the finals.

He had good deception tonight. The ball was going in there pretty good, he made some pitches. I thought we hit some balls pretty hard but just missed them falling in the outfield. But he pitched good enough and mixed it up good enough to beat us.

We did some good things, particularly offensively. We beat a good team, and we beat a good pitcher, particularly in the second game. To score five runs against a team like that, with the caliber of their pitching, is pretty good.

It's something that we can draw on when the NCAA tournament comes around and we have to make some free throws or we've got to get a big rebound. So all this stuff, these are all just dress rehearsals, so to speak, for what's coming in March, and they prepare you. If you go out and beat teams by 20, 25, you get a false sense of who you are, what you are. I think we know pretty well after this trip that we're pretty good. We're not as good as you want to be yet, but we're pretty good.

It was really tough watching him lose in the finals again. I get more nervous for Nick's matches than mine. I'm pretty upset now, but he wrestled a good match. Hopefully, they will meet for a rematch in the state finals. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. Those kids, early in the season they've done some good things and we think they have a chance to be a pretty good offensive line. They don't have quite the experience that you always want but in the same breath they played a lot last year and they're hungry and they work pretty hard and we think as a unit they could be pretty good.

I thought all four guys wrestled real well. Lucas won some pretty good matches and he beat some pretty good kids. He's had a good year.

Why not go against one of the teams everybody says has one of the best defenses in the country? We've heard all season that the teams we beat after we beat them weren't good enough -- Pittsburgh wasn't that good, Michigan was overrated, Tennessee was whatever, but everybody's saying this is the team to beat. This is the defense, so we'll go after them.

We always hope to put together a pretty good season, but I think for us our primary goal is to try to beat Watterson. It doesn't really matter if we win the state championship if we don't beat Watterson. That's kind of the way it's become.
