I think overall, we did pretty well. This was a rather young team and they overcame quite a few obstacles during the season. It is always good to finish up with a finals swim at states.

I'm thrilled for this football team. They overcame obstacles from start to finish. This is a very significant win.

It's hard to get them back up and swim in the finals. To be within a second or so in the relay, it's a pretty good swim for them.

I'm so proud of this team. They overcame a lot of obstacles, and they're true winners. We did a good job playing together and having good team chemistry this season. These guys enjoyed playing together, and they enjoyed sharing the wealth.

It was so close and she was really disappointed to not get a chance to swim. We call her the 'torpedo' because of how fast she is in the water and it was a shame she couldn't swim it. I think she would have made the finals. She also swam the 100 butterfly and just missed qualifying for finals. She is just a freshman so we look for good things in the future.

Our team overcame more obstacles last week than any team in my memory that I've been involved with. To have our team remain above all that and play as well as they did and win, I think our team deserves a lot of credit. They certainly have every right to be proud of what they have accomplished up to date.

They've worked really hard all season long and have probably improved more than any championship team I've coached — mainly because they've had so far to go. A good portion of them couldn't swim at the beginning of November. They're all doing very well and I think they're ready to swim their best.

Of course you're surprised after the season we had, a heartbeat away from the finals. But you know, Pat Riley seemed to change. He seemed to change from the year before when we were excited about our young team, and it did us good ? so I'm sure this will do us good also.

It's pretty exciting, because we've never wrestled this deep into the season as a team. I think it's going to be a good match and all we're focused on is Bonduel. If we win that first one, then we'll get ready for the finals.

We made some mistakes, but we overcame them. We did some dumb things, but we overcame them. I thought as a whole, we played pretty darn good.

I knew going into season we had enough talent to compete with anybody. I thought we had our best team since 2000. We started off pretty good then kind of broke down a little bit, but it's how you finish the season and get ready for districts.

Kelly's 200 IM was just a phenomenal swim. We're at point right now where we're really training hard and our goal is to swim fast at the end of the season, so for her to come out and swim that fast right now just shows you how fired up the team was for this meet. She's a young woman whom I personally have come to know and love for the years she's been here. She's a very, very special human being who overcame a lot of obstacles to realize her full potential — a beautiful, beautiful person whom I will cherish for the rest of my life.

We had a good effort tonight. A good swim. The team continues to swim hard in practice; the way they continue to swim in meets is a good reflection of how they're swimming in practice.
