en I skated almost like 100 percent. But unfortunately I'm not on the podium. It's difficult.

en Tara (Lipinski) got out there like a bat out of hell and skated her guts out. Michelle skated very well, but she skated conservatively. She skated great, just not fantastic. That was the difference.

en I was surprised at how well we skated. It was a long day, starting with a flight at 6 a.m., and when we landed, we came straight to the arena and skated. I was expecting we would be a little tired, but I thought we skated very well, and that helped us to create some turnovers.

en We've skated everywhere. I've even skated Big Surf when it's been empty.

en If Sarah's [form] keeps going the way it is... we should be expecting a podium finish at the worlds and definitely a podium at the Commonwealth Games.

en He's shooting for 40 wins. If he gets that, he'll be on the podium. We're going there with aspirations of winning it all but realistically, our goal is to be in the top eight. We want to make sure he's on the podium Saturday night.

en I've skated with my heart and my family for so many years and now that it is gone it has been really hard. Some days I'm OK. Some days I'm not. It's just difficult.

en After winning bronze at the worlds, we found that to make even slight progress was very difficult and sometimes we even went backwards, which depressed us very much. Since we thought too much about these things, we didn't fully focus on our training and skated badly last season.

en I think the general consensus is that [five percent] is maybe not enough, and that we should at least look at [seven percent] or maybe slightly lower which is also difficult. And if we can get that, and it is still a question of, that it must be sustained over time, I will perhaps even talk decades rather than years, so I would think if we can get growth of six-, seven percent for two decades, then I think the unemployment situation will be under control.
