Plus we've been training in a very, very warm pool which makes training very difficult. Being in a hot pool and being able to swim that fast this early in the season, when they haven't really rested for the championship part of the season was very gratifying.

en I went from being pretty depressed and down to coming here and getting two wins. It's been kind of the opposite sides of the spectrum. I'm very fortunate to come here and have some success. ... Things like this happen in this game. Guys get cut and move around. I wouldn't say I was shocked. I'm happy that things have worked out the way they've worked out so far. Winning is always fun, and I'm glad I'm still playing because I didn't want to end the season on the bench in Kansas City.

en It's tough to say we had a 100 percent chance (at a medal), but with countries moving in and out of the bronze medal place, we definitely had a chance at one of the bronze or silvers. It just didn't happen, unfortunately. But I don't think we can be too upset. We skated good. There weren't any huge mistakes where someone fell down or we totally blew an exchange.
