The philosopher believes that ordsprog

en The philosopher believes that the value of his philosophy lies in the whole, in the building: posterity discovers it in the bricks with which he built and which are then often used again for better building: in the fact, that is to say, that building can be destroyed and nonetheless possess value as material.
  Friedrich Nietzsche

en The way the Maya built pyramids is by building one layer on top of another. We have [the building where the writing was found] sandwiched between two other buildings. We can get a date from the building itself, but also a range from the other two.

en The historical society was a bit upset that they were demolishing the original building but they (the home owners) had been making ongoing renovations and they just weren't going to be able to bring that building up to code. For obvious safety reasons, nursing homes can't be wooden structures anymore; they must be built with steel construction. Because of that, as well as many other reasons, the two eventually made an agreement that they would design the new building to have many similar features of the original mansion and then the original would be destroyed. If you look at some of the old pictures I really think that they achieved what they had wanted to do.

en We really needed this new school building. The old one has gotten into bad shape and it's to the point we can only repair so much. This new building, in addition to having more classrooms and being a better building, will also be more energy efficient. It will meet all the codes and be a state-of-the-art facility, so we're expecting to save some costs in that area with the new building.

en I think the main qualities that made this job attractive to me were the commitment by the front office to winning, and to building an organization for the long term. I look forward to building an organization that people can be proud of, that's built with character, that's built with toughness, built with discipline.

en This building is being built as a sustainable building in the spirit of Louis Bromfield. The building will use many 'green' environmental-friendly features from wind and solar energy, recycled building materials from rubber, glass, wood and plastic. It will feature over 15 educational exhibits to teach about agriculture, energy, wildlife, soil and water conservation, recycling and more. Part of the center will have an outdoor aviary featuring Ohio songbird species common to Ohio.

en The kind of building we were looking for was his philosophy. We want so much happening in this building that it will be vibrant day and night.

en The center only exists in a metaphysical sense at the moment. There are no bricks and mortar involved now. And indeed, in a strange way, I'm rather glad that it's not related to a specific building; in some way, I don't think it ever can be. I think there's going to be an expansion and a consolidation so that arts aren't ghettoized in a single building, but can instead interact across the campus.

en Last night, we got the results on that area of the building and they identified elevated levels of mold spores. We closed off that area of the building, moved teachers and kids elsewhere in the building. Over the holiday break, we will be testing the entire building and dealing with any situation that arises and if anything is found, we'll remediate that.

en Our former worship center was built in just 90 days. This new building may have taken a little longer, but I have to say it was icing on the cake to dedicate the new building last Sunday.

en If we built the building out in West Andover, it would be all by itself. There would be nothing else there, just a building. [The Doherty site] is much more attractive to kids. It will keep them active and out of downtown.

en It was an older building. It was in need of work. There are significant parking problems. We had the opportunity to move into a new building that was built according to state-of-the-art environmental standards.
  Gary Larson

en This is an outstanding facility. The building that I built in Longview, we've outgrown it. We have significant opportunities to expand this year, and the bigger building in Gladewater will allow us to do that.

en His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. In a landslide the crush of mud and boulders would have pushed the building away. Rescuers have gone to maps of where the building once stood but the building may no longer be on that spot.
