This is a group of guys who worked hard to get back to the playoffs again. I believe we're playing our best ball of the year right now. It's great for a school like ours to have a team win two straight area championships.

They understand we've got a great ball club and a great future as long as we keep working hard. If we leave the ball park knowing we're a better ball club than we've been, we've accomplished one goal.

Pearl has an outstanding program. We did a great job defensively in the first half. We worked the ball around in the second half. Pearl scored the go-ahead goal after we left the side wide open, and they exposed it.

That's a huge play. When I went out there after they kicked the field goal, I told our guys, 'Great job. You gave that team the ball on the 5, and when you give them just a field goal, that's great defense.

The ball wasn't at the 2-yard-line; it was at the 1. And we had had previous success at the goal line [that day]. And quite frankly, the Redskins had been moving the ball on us. Fortunately for us it all worked out.

I don't know anyone that is better controlling the ball with her feet. She is a great goal scorer and great at distributing the ball as well.

So now the public can enjoy works in daylight that were painted in daylight. It is like a freshly refurbished old friendship.
